How interior decorating solves practical problems

…and improves daily living

Pop quiz! True or False.

Interior decorating:

  1. Is a luxury
  2. Does not solve everyday problems
  3. Is not affordable or practical

If you answered False to all, you are correct! Interior decorating is a down-to-earth way to add efficiency to your home and improve daily living.

Here are a few hands-on tips:

  1. Got wasted space? Not long ago, I transformed a client’s spare room from a catch-all storage closet into a beautiful guest room, with: all-new complimentary red-and-green color palette, neutral wall paint, an accessorized shelf, plants, and a pouf. Delightful, and much more functional! (see image above)
  2. New paint provides an alternative to an expensive overhaul. Start by hiring an affordable Certified Color Consultant, and then scale up to add décor.
  3. Practical interior decorating helps you adapt to natural life changes, whether you’re empty nesters wondering what to do, new pet owners, you need help designing a baby’s nursery, and all the other forks in the road.

Do you have messy spacehog rooms you’d like to reclaim? Want to repurpose an area, but don’t know where to start? Need color advice? I’m a certified decoratorColor Consultant, and an ASID Affiliate (American Society of Interior Decorators).
