Choose from a wide range of 2025 earth-themed tones
Out of this year’s colors, which are inspired by nature and spices, Yellow has evolved from “sunny’ and “buttery” into a more sophisticated, marigold-leaning spectrum: bold and warm.
The variety of hues and blends lets you add as much warmth or energy as you want; there are many delightful options perfect for a kitchen overhaul, hallway, laundry room, basement gym, or even an aged yellow to bring calm into a bedroom (see Duster by Farrow & Ball).
Imagine an update with these choices:
- Sherwin-Williams Bosc Pear. Rather than selecting one winner for “Color of 2025”, the paint company released a 2025 Color Capsule: nine curated shades that reflect the year’s earth-inspired colors. Bosc Pear, the yellow selection, is ideal for kitchens and hallways with its soft, muted hue.
- Sherwin-Williams Chartreuse is also featured in the 2025 Color Capsule. Named after the French liqueur, it’s considered a bold, yellow-green that combines the “vitality of green energy with the optimism of yellow.” Similar adjacent blends are highlighted in other brands, such as Benjamin Moore’s “decadent” Citron.
- Sherwin-Williams Nugget. Like an energy drink except it’s paint, Nugget brings tasteful zest to windowless spaces (like that basement gym) and ceilings. I would even recommend it for a commercial space like a café, or an office conference room.
