What Benjamin Moore’s 2026 Color of the Year “Silhouette” Can Do for You

Silhouette is a classy medium neutral that layers well with other colors, both lighter and darker. It conveys an instantly polished look, and complements a variety of organic textures like rugs, throws, even nubby cream wallpaper flecked with gold.

Based on the Benjamin Moore Color of the Year 2026 industry presentation I recently attended, Silhouette represents a sophisticated “rich espresso with charcoal undertones,” evocative of a “tailored suit.” It’s classified as a “handsome midtone” in the Benjamin-Moore 2026 Color Palette.

Here are a few fun and easy tips for incorporating Silhouette into your space:

  • Looks really nice with textured wallpaper or other textiles
  • Extend it to the ceiling in a dining room, bathroom, or bedroom
  • Balance this elegant neutral with a creamy white
  • Versatile; add accents for a personal touch
  • Silhouette is useful for both interior and exterior purposes
